Duffy Day

My book is called Sunken Forest. I got it today when I was in the assembly. It was great first the older kids got the rewards. The only sad part of the day was we had to say goodbye to the year 8's and the last and most exciting thing was the Duffy books. That was when I got my book, this is what it looked like. I am looking forward to reading it.

Saint Francis

 we have been learning about saints. My fav part was writing about saint Francis. I did not know saint Francis was in the war.

what saint would you write about and why?

Saint Francis

A saint is a person who believed in god their whole life.

When he was born and became a saint

Saint Francis was born in 1181 and he believed in god for most of his life and that was good because he became a saint in 1228 because of believing in God.

Animal love

During the saint Franchise's life he developed a great love for animals and plants. He treated them like they were his children so he was known as a patron saint of animals.

His life

After being in the war saint Francis got held as a prisoner for most of the year and it was terrible but the good thing was when he got out he became religious.

I like saint Francis because he likes animals.

On Tuesday we got to dress as different countries I went as NZ my country. We had fun we got to walk around everyone at are school so they could see our costumes and they did the same thing as we did. Then at 5:30 pm my class got to sing this lullaby in Tonga this is the lullaby video below that showed us how to do it.

Tonga is a island in the south pacific 

Tonga history

About 300  years ago before the polynesians had settled in tongatapu in 184s taufa'ahau.

Tongas disappearing island

Fonua Fo`ou means new island in tonga and is the apt name for the submarine volcano that has come and gone across history.

Humpback whales travel 300 miles to breed and give birth in tonga

One of the main reasons many people visitors came to tonga is to swim with humpback whales they make their amazing 4830 km 300 miles journey from their feeding grounds

life cycle of a butterfly

 Egg

The mother leaves stems of plants inside of these tiny eggs. Caterpillars grow depending on the species the egg shape can be cylindrical or smooth.

Larva

Once ready the caterpillar leaves its egg home and enters the big outside world. And these little critters have one serious appetite.

Pupa

Once Fully grown the caterpillar forms itself into a pupa. a kind of vessel in which the caterpillar changes into a butterfly they usually do this on wings or safe.

Butterfly

Once the butterfly is ready to hatch the case around the pupa breaks.

Winter sports

 Yesterday we got to do winter sports try outs because next year we are going to do winter sports. We got to try out for netball, touch rugby, tennis, capture the flag. It was fun and very tiring, I drank all my water but I did not get to eat all my food. I think I'm going to do touch rugby I cant wait for next year.

I have been learning about character description again. This time you can make your own character, mine is cloud pup  the sky god pup that I made up. I enjoyed making making him up. Next time I will do a character description about johnny Jupiter cloud pups master.

how to brush your teeth

we are learning to write instructions so i can help people with stuff they don,t know by writing. these are my instructions.

1  go to the bathroom and get your tooth brush.

2  put it up to your face if its a electric tooth brush there should be a button on the electric tooth brush then press the button don,t press the button till you put the tooth paste on the electric one.

3  if you have a non lectric tooth brush you still put tooth paste on your tooth non lectric brush

4  then put water on what ever tooth brush you have

5  then put the tooth brush on your teeth and move your tooth brush up, down on the back teeth left, right on the front teeth.

How to make a book

Goal - To come up with good characters and story.

Equipment needed - Paper, stapler, crayons and pens.

Instructions

1- Fold as many A4 pieces of paper you want. Three a4 pieces of paper to give you 6 pages for your book.

2 - Staple along the edge to create a book.

3 - Make the cover page. Use your characters on your cover and make your cover colourful and put your title.

4 - Write your story. To make it interesting so people want to read your book.

3   Put big wheels on the back

4   Small wheels at the front.

5   Put the window shield on the front.

6   Put the chair behind the window shield with enough room for your character.

7   Put your character in the seat.

How to play Minecraft for beginners

To play minecraft you need a device such as a computer or ipad. you will need to sign in with a password or user name. In minecraft you can play in creative or survival.

The mane goal of survival is to build a house and this is how you do it.

First you need to mine wood then you have to make a crafting table to do that you will find wooden planks in your inventory.

when you have wooden planks you can also make tools that will help you make better tools and you can use the planks to make your house and make doors.

Tigers

My animal is a tiger.

It has stripes, fur, big whiskers and huge paws.
They live in forests in lots of different countries.

They eat wild animals like deers, and buffalo´s.

cool facts are adult tiger can weight up to 660 pounds. Also no two tigers have the same stripes.

I like tigers because they are deadly and cute.

My war parcel

The items in my Redcross parcel are soap, chicken chips, beer, wine, beans, a puzzle, warm jersey, boots and a fridge.
I chose these things because they would be more helpful in the war , and i have put in fun stuff for them when they defeat the enemies.

All about snakes.

My animal is a snake.
I like the snake because it is slippery, sneaky and has a big tongue to eat things.
He smells like rotten animals.
It makes hissing sounds and lives in the bush.
Snakes can´t bite food, so they swallow it whole.
Also if you touch a snake it feels warm and dry.

My Anzac Mascot

My anzac mascot is a dog in a dinosaur suit with a word war logo on it.

The Megalodon Shark

The meg shark lived millions of years ago.

He is gigantic with razor sharp teeth, scales and fins.

Megalodons eat mammals, other sharks, whales and dolphins.

The meg prefers to hunt at night and usually alone like other Sharks.

Cool facts about megalodons are that they are extinct. Megalodons meaning is big tooth.

i believe there still alive.

My Kiwi

My Kiwi is a nz bird. He likes to eat seeds, grubs and worms. The kiwi is in danger of being extinct because of rats, dogs and cats. i had the idea of putting drones near them to protect them from being extinct.

today i made a book mark for my homework at home

off my favorite books ninja kid the first picture i made is a picture of ninja kid and a picture of the bike powered by bananas from ninja kid 2 and i made a picture of a ninja from ninja kid 5 and ninja kids suit i all so made a picture of a rhino from ninja kid 4 and a picture of the big spider from ninja kid and the last picture is ninja grandma from ninja kid 3.

my trip!

my name is tai and this is my story. The first thing we did was going to the library Jai and    me  playing on the computers when he was playing i went to the library shelf i found one of jais favourite  books tom gates it was the newest book i went to look and i found a cool book so i rented it out then we went to the play ground it was fun we went out on the big ship at the park it a cool fun ship jai and i had a race jai won next i played on the tramp George did a back flip after the play ground i and everyone went to the picture museum of old pictures and i saw a picture of my great uncle then i just figured out that the lady is my cousins grandma i was so thirsty so the class and i went back to school.
